My Story
Peter Bright is from Australia where he studied oenology and worked before producing his first European vintage in 1981. By 1993 Peter had become one of the early tranche of Australian ‘flying winemakers’, coming to Europe to work on several projects. He went on to make wine all over the world, especially in South America where he was part of the spear-heading movement to transform the country from a producer of bulk wines into a bottler of premium varieties. Peter is now recognized as one of the world’s most experienced and gifted winemakers with an impressive array of international awards including the coveted title of “International Red Winemaker of the Year” in 1992. Today he is the senior winemaker at Blue Orchid.
